Exploring the sonic spectrum between funk, soul, and jazz, North West London singer, songwriter, and producer Lynda Dawn unveils her highly anticipated sophomore effort, “11th Hour,” out on 4th October via and  her own First Dawn Records imprint.

Featuring her hypnotic, groove-laden comeback single “Where You Are” and the dazzling title track “11th Hour” this 8-track release invites listeners to gaze into the divine universe Dawn is weaving. “11th Hour” brings love to the forefront, offering an intimate and meditative exploration of sound and spirit, serving as a constant reminder that it’s never too late.

Also on 4th October Dawn takes the stage to play her first headline show in 3 years at London’s Barbican Centre, presented by the South London-based musical movement and curatorial platform, Touching Bass.

Dawn’s songs weave captivating grooves with celestial vocals, reflecting the crackling sounds of her parents’ record collection. She attributes her upbringing in the Pentecostal church as her spiritual education in funk and gospel expression. Her breakout single “Move” was first featured on Giles Peterson’s 13th “Brownswood Bubblers” compilation, introducing her as a “one to watch.” Teaming up with frequent collaborator Al Dobson Jr., she debuted her eagerly anticipated EP, “At First Light,” via Mndsgn’s Los Angeles label, Akashik Records, acclaimed by the likes of Clash, The Guardian, NME, ELLE UK, and more. Dawn’s music has collectively amassed over 10 million streams across streaming platforms, and she is poised to continue her rise as one of the UK’s most promising emerging voices in contemporary soul.
