Kreative Force feat. Noel McKoy – She – 7″ Vinyl – IN STOCK NOW !!

This is the 3rd release on the independent label owned by Club/Radio/Media DJ/Journalist and Director of The Soul Survivors Magazine Fitzroy Facey aka ‘Da Buzzboy’ Fitzroy. KR8iV Records is a label that Fitzroy wanted to showcase some of the various artists he’s interviewed in The Soul Survivors Magazines since 2006, now celebrating 20 years as a bi monthly physical and digital publication this July 2026. Despite having no prior experience in songwriting in 2005 Fitzroy wrote the lyrics and the melody to ‘She’ as an ode to his long time love affair with music. He presented it to one of his favourite singers the late Noel McKoy on a pre recorded production, whereupon listening Noel’s exact response was the song was “metaphorically beautiful”.

Noel’s background vocalist Afroesque happened by be a young lady that Fitzroy had met back in 1990, and together their vocals blended and Fitzroy’s vision was reimagined to perfection. The original 80s mix was the first track on the debut ‘Soul Unsigned’ 2008 compilation and the ‘Bruk Boogie’ mix featuring UK trumpet legend Kenny Wellington was included on the Expansion Records 2013 Luxury Soul 2013 CD box set. In the winter of 2025 Fitzroy teamed up with Street Sounds Radio DJ/Remixer Sam Shelley to create a 2026 classic disco remix. Orphy Robinson was invited to lay down some vibes which gave the track a Roy Ayers flavour.

The reception on the few occasions that Fitzroy has played the track, has caused quite a furore amongst enthusiastic music fans and DJs, resulting in unsuccessful Shazam attempts, and a high demand for it’s release. So hear it is available on Bandcamp with various digital download mixes including extended club and radio Sam Shelley & Fitz classic disco and Fitzroy’s Bruk Boogie mixes. There will also be a limited run of 7 inch vinyl featuring the radio mixes. This project has been sanctioned with the approval of Noel McKoy’s family who Fitzroy respectfully spoke with Noel’s brother Robin, bearing in mind that Noel passed away in November 2022.
