IZIPHO SOUL are honoured to once again collaborate with Kip Carmen: a seasoned musician, vocalist and guitarist from Long Island, New York State.
In 1980, Kip released a self published LP; we have hand picked two of the standout tracks for a ‘first time on a 45’.
‘Feeling Home Again’ is an up-tempo opus fuelled by electric keyboard riffs, wah-wah effects, alto and tenor saxes. ‘The Smile On My Face’ is a delicious mid-tempo groove which features the legendary Cornell Dupree (RIP) on guitar.
A trademark of Kip’s song writing is telling stories which create vivid images in one’s mind, listen intently to these lyrics and bask in the message of being free and ‘on the road’.
