We are excited to announce the arrival of Incognito’s 20th studio album – Music. Magic. Ironic – which will be released on Christmas Day.
Comprising 17 tracks, the inspiration drawn from Bluey’s childhood in Mauritius, listening to the local musicians play at the end of the working day with whatever instrument they could find – be that a hand drum, a bottle and a fork or simply clapping along. The music they made would lift the wary people to the point that they would stand up, dance and spin joyfully. This extraordinary change in them led Bluey to confuse the word magic for music! He would later realise that his mistake was not a mistake after all and he dedicated his professional life to creating ‘Magic’.
This 20th studio album has been crafted with Incognito members old and new and much fun was had – which can be heard in the music.
Contributing to the vocals on this album are, amongst others, US powerhouse vocalists Maysa Leak and Zebulon Ellis plus Max Beasley on vibes
on the cover of the Roy Ayres track ‘Running Away’.
