This ten-track set marks a welcome return from this much-loved musician – who on this release, he teams up with Elena Fornaro (lyrics and vocals) to produce an album that captures the essence of 1980s soul music.
The album is a wonderful mix of up and mid-tempo groovers (with sensual ballads such as ‘Ultimate Truth’, ‘Talk To Me’ and the title track ‘Right Time’ thrown into the mix).
Steve Nichol (Loose Ends) supplies additional keys on the infectious groover ‘Magic Dancefloor’ and George Anderson (Shakatak) drops a baseline on the electro-boogieified track ‘Like A Dream’.
‘Right Time’ reaffirms Dimitris’ rightful reputation as a keyboard and songwriting master.
