Gary Des-Etages, a talent that I have waxed lyrical over from time to time, gets a new single release on the excellent independent label FER. These two tracks have for some time now been played on my radio shows as demos and now, with the finished article it has to be said, none of the warmth of those original demos, has been lost. In fact, the producers of the two tracks – 5am Productions – have simply enhanced rather than reduced. The first track – the powerfully vocalled “All I Wanna Do” offers a soulful R&B radio – friendly track reminiscent in quality of Kenny Latimore’s “Weekend”. Flipped with the more soul driven “Dance With Me”, this already is a big fave on the modern soul scene via its demo version exposure. Both tracks are a must for the collection.
